A RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX SPANNING HISTORY AND MODERNITY
Three apartment buildings in a prestigious residential area combine respect for the Roman landscape with modernity, comfort and energy savings.
The plans involved the construction of a new residential complex just outside the centre of Rome, in an area characterised by high-quality dwellings. The project envisages the construction of three buildings (four and five floors) set in a series of open spaces with public and private gardens. The layout of the complex is determined not only by the shape of the lot but also by the proximity of a part of the Aurelian Wall characterised by a large rampart erected by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, which must remain visible. The buildings, with 70 apartments, fully respect the standards of low energy consumption and will be finished with material compliant with the regulations established by the “Valle della Caffarella, Appia Antica e Acquedotti” plans for the area.
