Organization chart

The board of directors of Italiana Costruzioni SpA comprises the chairman and the managing director, the former with responsibility for the administration, finances and management of the northern region, headed by the Milan office, and the latter with responsibility for the commercial side of the business and management of the central and southern area, headed by the Rome office. Also at the corporate level, a strategic committee has been established, staffed by the board of directors, with the purpose of strategic analysis of the company’s market position and assessment of new opportunities for its development. The organisation chart features a general manager, who oversees production and co-ordinates the central services, such as purchases, tenders, personnel, secretarial staff, technical department and management. The staff of the general management also comprises a legal office that not only deals with internal legal affairs, but also co-ordinates corporate activities with external legal advisors and the quality, safety and environmental manager, who oversees the complex management in compliance with the procedures for the preservation, in every single sector, of the company’s UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 certification and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification.The strengthening of the company along the Rome-Milan production axis followed an adaptation of the organisation chart, which reflected the splitting of production into two organisational units, while maintaining the tried and tested network structure.

The demands associated with production activities throughout the country, co-ordinated by the various job managers, are fulfilled with the aid of central services, leading to constant interaction and updating between the activities performed in the offices and the more specifically operational ones carried out on the construction sites. Regarding the more specific management and co-ordination of the construction sites, they are generally organised in a hierarchical structure featuring a job manager, who usually oversees more than one project and draws on the aid of operational staff typically constituted by a site director and one or more site managers, site accountants and site assistants.

Per quanto attiene più specificatamente la conduzione e il coordinamento vero e proprio dei cantieri, normalmente, sono organizzati in una struttura gerarchica funzionale che prevede la presenza di un capo commessa, che segue in genere più di un progetto e che si avvale della collaborazione di personale operativo tipicamente costituito da un direttore di cantiere e da uno o più capi cantiere, contabilizzatori e assistenti di cantiere.
